On October 5, 2011, more than 30 CCSD schools participated in International Walk to School Day. Walk to School Day events are designed to create safer routes for walking and bicycling, and emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity among children, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion, concern for the environment, and building connections between families, schools and the broader community.

Mark your calendars for April 25, 2012: Nevada Moves Day will be held on this day, and will be another big walk/ride to school day for Nevada schools. Incentives will be provided to schools that participate in this event so stay tuned for more information.
